So this gig is very special to me!

Old Town ScrapFest is a scrap metal art competition put on by the Old Town Commercial Association and my family's company, Friedland Industries, Inc.

This is the 9th year of the festival. 20 teams got an hour to pick up to 500 lbs. of metal out of our scrap-recycling plant, and then they had two weeks to make a sculpture.

Those sculptures are judged and auctioned off on Turner St., right in the heart of Old Town. This year, there will even be five extra pieces that were fabricated for smaller 250 lb. category, and another piece to raffle off!

The festival has grown so much over the years, and now it includes live music, food vendors, special scrappy cocktails created by the surrounding bars and restaurants, family activities, and artisan vendors!

The festival is on Friday July 14th and Saturday July 15th. The auction will be held on Saturday July 15th at 5pm.

I'll start performing right after the auction, which will be around 6:45pm or 7pm.
